Here I was drawn to the idea of positive space — experimenting with bolder colors and geometric forms, exploring the idea of proximity during a time when we’re supposed to be keeping each other at a distance. I wanted to suspend spatial constraints so there are fewer places for the eye to rest because — in a larger sense — there’s so much that must be seen, heard and felt right now.
